New EP: Joanna Newsom And The YS Street Band, Features New Song “Colleen”
A new Joanna Newsom EP is coming out soon titled Joanna Newsom And The YS Street Band. But hold on a minute, what is an EP?
I’ve seen them issued but didn’t really know what they’re about. Here’s some background: EP stands for “Extended Play,” and there’s a ton of info on wikipedia’s EP page. But let me drop some of the most interesting things about EP’s from that article:
- “Extended play (EP) is the name typically given to vinyl records or CDs which contain more than one single but are too short to qualify as albums. Usually, an album has eight or more tracks (anywhere between 25–80 minutes), a single has one to three (5–15 minutes), and an EP four to seven (or around 15–25 minutes).”

Added Recently Listened Tracks Via Last.fm Plugin For Wordpress
I listen to a lot of music both at work and home using Winamp. Back in the hay’ I used Audioscrobbler to keep track of my listening habits. Audioscrobbler became Last.fm, which is a wee bit bloated for me, but still does a good job of keeping track of my listening habits no matter which computer I’m on.
Anyhow, Anne asked me what I was listening to and I said, “check my last.fm page.” or something lame like that. This prompted me to just add a recent tracks sidebar panel to my Wordpress blog here. You’ll now find it on the right. Continue Reading »

New Business Cards
I’ve been playing more and more nexus of technology and entertainment. I realized during my trip in Vegas that it is no longer okay to not have a business card to exchange. I printed these up using Avery’s 28877 Clean Edge business cards and Anne’s Deskjet 5160. Here’s the front (Some info obfuscated):
